From playing with handstands & other arm balances with her dad as a child to following her breath to fall asleep as a stressed out teen, yoga had always been there.

Sheryl has been practicing yoga for the last 15 years and teaching since 2006. She began her yoga journey as a “dabbler”, trying different styles of yoga and practicing sporadically. In 2005, she tried her first hot vinyasa yoga class and became a “yoga junkie” overnight! She has trained with many wonderful teachers, completing her first 200 hour training with Baron Baptiste and a second 200 hour with Jonny Kest. In 2011, Sheryl began facilitating 200 hour yoga teacher trainings for Life Power Yoga.
I evolved from teaching perfection to teaching acceptance. That is the summary of my journey into yoga teaching. As a professional dancer and dance teacher, it was contrary to my own yoga practice to constantly be critical of others bodies and progress in the hopes of achieving a "perfect" picture on the stage. One day it just clicked. TEACH ACCEPTANCE. I had to understand how to apply it to myself first. Once that lesson took root, my development as a teacher of yoga really began.
