An Introduction to the Bhagavad Gita presented by Leila Cranford, RYT
Saturday, May 22, 2010
Blue Anjou Yoga Studio & Eco-Boutique
$30
As a serious student or teacher of yoga, you've no doubt heard of the Bhagavad Gita ("The Lord's Song"); maybe even know a little about it. But to the unfamiliar, study of the Gita can be a daunting prospect. Where to start? In a word: here.
Meet the Gita and gain a basic understanding of its teachings. This is not meant to be a philosophical debate or scholarly dissection, but a basic and accessible presentation of the tale of the battle of Kurukshetra and the profound concepts of karma, bhakti and dharma presented within. This workshop can help expand and deepen your practice, and provides the ideal framework for further in-depth study.
Handouts are included. Materials not required, although you may wish to have something with which to take notes. It is not necessary to have your own Gita text or commentary, although it is highly recommended for further study.
