Aaron Price
I first truly came to the Dharma when I took Refuge in Vajrayana Buddhism. Seemingly coincidentally, within days I also began regular practice of Indian yoga asana as physical exercise for weight loss and back pain management. However, my initial experience was far more profound than exercise could explain, and it wasn’t long before I started entertaining notions of becoming a yoga teacher. I had no idea how closely intertwined my two new interests would become.
Although I have received Dharma teachings from many highly revered Tibetan teachers, I first began my education in Indian Tantra, Classical Hatha Yoga, and Vedanta with Yogarupa Rod Stryker and his ParaYoga School.
I believe that a person’s energy can be balanced, heightened, and refined by carefully guided use of the techniques that the rich tradition of Indian yoga has to offer us. These energetic changes in turn bring us improved physical health, fitness, restoration, and rejuvenation. Much more importantly, yoga can open the door to a life of profound fulfillment and boundless joy, free from the fear that prevents so many of us from realizing our full potential in this precious life we’ve been granted.
