ABOUT ERICH SCHIFFMANN:
Erich Schiffmann has gained national and international recognition for his
unique approach to yoga. Having been passionately involved in the process
for 40 years as a student and 32 years as a teacher, his teaching conveys
a complete experience of Yoga. He is known for his unique emphasis on
moving into stillness and he uses asana, pranayama, deep relaxation,
discussion and meditation to elicit this experience.
He says “stillness makes one more intuitive
and cultivates the ability to be ‘guided from within."
Erich teaches a very healing and open style
of Yoga emphasizing being guided from within. His style
is unique and clear, full of freedom and spirit and he
is passionately involved in the practice. His style of
yoga and meditation is suitable for all levels of students.
Erich taught yoga at the Krishnamurti School
in England, lived in India and has been teaching and inspiring
yoga students for 32 years. He is proud author of the very
best yoga book available, Yoga,
the Spirit and Practice of Moving into Stillness,
and the award winning video Yoga,
Mind and Body with Ali McGraw.
“Yoga is the way of moving into stillness
in order to experience the truth of who you are. The practice
of yoga is the practice of meditation - inner listening
- in the poses and in meditation, as well as all day long.
It’s a matter of listening inwardly for guidance
all the time, and then daring enough, trusting enough,
to do as you are prompted to do."

MASTER CLASS
Friday, November 9, 2007
9:00am - 12:00pm
Price: $75
Erich Schiffmann has been named one of the
most innovative yoga teachers in the country by Yoga
Journal and he didn't get that designation by doing
the ordinary. Erich proposes something new for this master
class for teachers and advanced practitioners. He will
be presenting this session based on his own intuitive sense,
being guided from within, offering those that participate
exactly what they need to learn, experience and enjoy that
day that moment. Those of you advanced practitioners and
teachers looking for help getting beyond your standard
routine should come prepared to explore with Erich new
ways to approach your practice, and to begin teaching with
more spontaneity and intuition! He will encourage you to
innovate your practice and asks that you come with questions,
an open mind, and a willingness to try something new.
This class is designed for experienced
practitioners and teachers only. Minimum one year previous
yoga experience and yoga practice required.
WEEKEND WORKSHOP

Saturday morning, November 10, 9:30am - 12:00pm
Saturday afternoon, November 10, 2:00pm - 4:30pm
Sunday morning, November 11, 9:00am - 11:30am

This weekend will involve four complete classes
involving an equal and beautiful balance between yoga practice,
meditation, theory, and discussion in which Erich Schiffmann,
recognized for his unique approach to yoga and meditation
will blend all to create a joyful weekend experience.
The practice of yoga makes it easier to go
deep into meditation. Yoga practice approached from a deep,
centered, meditative state is more effective and meaningful.
The two practices nurture one another, providing clarity
and peace to the mind, body and outlook. We'll dare to
act as our deepest feelings prompt us to do. Erich teaches
a healing, opening style of yoga emphasizing moving into
stillness while being guided from within.
