Yoga Power is dedicated
to teaching Vinyasa, a flowing meditation in movement, held
together by the thread of breath. Yoga postures are
linked together in a constant flow that is combined with the
breath to create a heightened level of energy. As the body
tones into the maximum fitness, an awareness of the connection
between mind and body brings about balance — inside
and out.
The idea behind
this form of “power yoga” is to EMPOWER each and
every student. So often we are guided by the external —
watching others to see what we should do, listening to others
rather than our own intuition. At Yoga Power, instructors
help guide practitioners to find their own inner teaching
by cultivating awareness in the connection of mind and body.
Taking time to learn how the stress in our heads manifests
as tension in the muscles. Then, armed with this awareness,
students can begin the act of cleansing — letting go
the unnecessary distractions of life, and standing in a center
of strength that is already within.
Yoga Power instructors
Jessica Young, Stephanie Young, and Katrina Krapffs have been
trained by renowned teacher Baron Baptiste. Guided
by a basic Vinyasa structure, each instructor brings their
own individual personality to the class.
