DAY offers asana and other yoga training to those who have challenges, chronic illnesses, disabilities as well as those who just find a traditional yoga class too difficult or painful.
Alignment, precision, props and gentle adjustments are utilized. Attention is placed on the correct entry and exit points for each posture. Mindfulness and body awareness are practiced. You will benefit with increased flexibility, balance and strength. You should also benefit by being calmer and more relaxed.
Breath work (Pranayama) is practiced to develop a steady mind and sound judgment.
Restorative poses are practiced to allow the body to renew and to relieve the effects of chronic stress. In restorative poses your body is completely supported and typically held for a greater length of time.
DAY ... yoga for people who thought they couldn't do yoga.
