Bethany found her way to her first yoga class in 2002 as a stressed out, depressed college student in Denton, TX – and one liberating, sweet savasana later, she was hooked for life. A move to Los Angeles in 2006 (and more stress!) inspired her to delve deeper into her practice and since, she has been inspired by teachers Max Strom, Seane Corn, Kathryn Budig, Bryan Kest, Daniel Stewart, Claire Hartley and countless others along the way. She completed her 200-RYT in 2011 with Rising Lotus Yoga in Los Angeles and has taught in LA, Houston and now Dallas. She is currently completing a 954 Hr. IAYT Yoga Therapy Certification with Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy in Bristol, VT and helps clients navigate physical and emotional injuries, trauma, depression, and other challenging life circumstances that prevent living a fulfilling, authentic life. She believes yoga is a path back home to the true Self that fosters compassion toward oneself and others, and freedom from physical and emotional suffering. Her classes are strong, comforting and inquisitive as she encourages her students to find the calm amidst the challenge, to heal, discover and reconnect with the beauty and wisdom of their already perfect true nature.
