Jacy has a multifaceted background in both the eastern philosophy of yoga and western practice of psychotherapy. She received her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas in 2014. She studied at Namah Shivaya Yoga receiving her 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2013. She currently practices psychotherapy and teaches psychotherapeutic yoga at The Lifeworks Group in Uptown and Snider Plaza where she specializes in treating adults and adolescents who are experiencing severe anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, codependency, low self-esteem, lack of assertiveness, or trauma.
She integrates both her knowledge of the mind and body to create an individualized practice as she systematically uses awareness, movement, and breath to help increase your ability to manage stress, balance out the nervous system calming the mind and body, increase emotional distress tolerance, reduce muscle tension, and induce a state of relaxation ultimately increasing your health and wellbeing.
