As a songwriter, Jamie’s musical journey began as a small child singing and writing songs with her two older brothers. In her early teens she was introduced to many sacred texts, including the Bhagavad Gita. This new found, old felt passion, sparked a fire in her heart and left her with a deep knowing that Yoga was the next step on her path. While the thought of Yoga seems light and lofty, Jamie soon found that dedication to the practice had cracked her wide open! So she dove into the wounds, peeled back the layers and shortly after took her first Yoga teacher training. As a registered Yoga teacher, Jamie acknowledges that Yoga has been the constant that leads her back to her own Divinity. Jamie offers classes which include; Hatha Yoga, Meditation, Sound/Vibrational Healing and Light Touch Massage. Her sensation-focused techniques integrate mind, body and spirit. Jamie’s class emphasis is on deep opening poses, long holds and muscular/mind relaxation. She understands that one shape is not for all and helps her students find their “Inner Guru” to release the daily effects of stress and tension as individuals, with individual needs. In her personal practice she explores many styles such as; Kundalini, Vinyasa, and Yoga Nidra. While having a vast musical background, Jamie loves incorporating chanting as well as Kirtan to both her classes and her daily life. Jamie is a passionate mother, a good friend and heartfelt Spirit who most of all enjoys seeing the healing benefits Yoga brings to the many she teaches. With kindness, compassion, and creativity Jamie provides a safe atmosphere to foster her students awareness of opening up to their true nature.
