I spent many years searching for a fitness routine that would keep me motivated to exercise on a regular basis: aerobics, running, walking; nothing held my interest for more than a couple of months. Boredom would set in and I would give up. All of that changed when I stepped into my first yoga class in 2006. The simple desire to incorporate fitness into my life evolved into something much bigger than I ever imagined. My yoga practice helps me stay physically fit, while keeping me grounded and balanced off the mat as well.
I took a YogaFit Level 1 Training Course. The energy and excitement I shared with other students during the training convinced me that teaching was definitely the next step on my yoga journey. I enjoy teaching and encouraging students at all levels: those stepping onto the mat for the first time, as well as seasoned practitioners. Each class focuses on proper alignment and breath work with an emphasis on core body strength.
I received my 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certification through Alpha-Omega Yoga in 2009, and my 500-hour through Blue Anjou in 2012. I attend yoga workshops, trainings and retreats as often as possible.
