Varsha was born and raised in the birth place of Yoga and Sanskrit , India, who draws her experience mostly from Yoga in India. She was raised in a traditional Hindu family, where chanting, bhajans and meditation were part of her daily rituals. She has practiced and studied yoga since her childhood with her maternal uncle and had formal training in Hatha Yoga and Sanskrit language when she was in high school. Certified in Yoga from Patanjali Yoga Shikshana Samithi in 1986, and in Ramayana (The Great Hindu Epic) from India.
Varsha is a RYT200 Certified Yoga Instructor (Purple Lotus Yoga, Dallas, TX) and is registered with Yoga Alliance, USA. After Coming to United states, Varsha worked in the software field for a few years. She then decided to follow her dream and passion for teaching Yoga and help promote healthy and peaceful life. She is currently teaching at Yogalaya(Yoga =yoga Alaya = House)The house of yoga. Additionally, she conducts workshops on Sanskrit Pronunciation, Pranayama/Meditation.
