For years, my exercise regimen consisted of stretching and working out with weights at my local gym. Then one day in 2006, I ventured into the group fitness room at my health club and discovered yoga. I fell in love. At the suggestion of the club’s yoga instructor, I began my yoga teacher training, and I’ve been teaching and practicing regularly ever since.

My first experience with yoga was a Rodney Yee VHS in my living room around the age of fourteen. My mother had been injured in a car accident and yoga was suggested to aid her recovery. I was hooked immediately. The inner sense of calm it gave me was incomparable to anything else I had experienced. Since then, my understanding has deepened and I've learned to connect to my body in a whole new way. Yoga has taught me the power of breathing, the method of using meditation in my movement, and how to harness love and positivity in my thoughts.
