Learn the core concepts of Ayurveda, including its philosophical approach and its practical applications from Arpita Shah, a Master in authentic Ayurveda as well as in Western nutrition.

Ayurveda,“ The Science of Life”, is a 5,000+ year old holistic system of natural medicine which promotes happiness, health and growth. It is considered one of the most remarkable holistic approach to healthcare and is being practiced successfully both in the United States and abroad.

Yoga and Ayurveda are sister sciences that come together to bring natural balance to mind, body, and spirit. Yoga is the science of self- realization, while Ayurveda is the science of self-healing.

Food as Medicine: develop a strong foundation of the basic science & philosophy as well as how to maintain the appropriate diet based on seasons and doshic imbalances.

Learn how to feed yourself and others to help reduce imbalance and support long term health. Learn how food and herbs curtail acute conditions and help relieve and repair from chronic conditions. In Ayurveda, there is NO unspecified diagnosis - balance comes from our daily choices in food and lifestyle.

About this Presenter: 

Arpita Shah is an Ayurveda practitioner and Yoga Teacher and her intention is to integrate the sister sciences of Ayurveda with Yoga to provides a unique class with a holistic approach to the mind, body, and spirit.

For Arpita sharing the beauty of ayurveda, nutrition and yoga with her clients is truly a gift in her life. Arpita is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance and has had the privilege of studying under very talented international teachers such as Rod Styker, Dharma Mittra, Judith Lasater, Lesli Kamainof, Doug Keller, Pandit Rajmani Tigunait and Ayurveda Guru Dr Vasant Lad.

Arpita has earned BS degree in Nutrition and MBA from Texas Woman´s University. She is also 500-hour registered yoga teacher and Ayurveda Practitioner.

Besides her regular teaching schedule, Arpita also offers private yoga Therapy, one on one Nutrition Counseling, Ayurveda consultation, Yoga teacher training, Ayurveda Lifestyle Counselor Training and Yoga retreats. She teaches publically in Southlake and is the founder of Om Yoga Journey.
