The ancient teachings of the koshas describe — and are the basis of — yoga as a holistic practice. The wisdom of the koshas are the preeminent teaching of the yoga tradition that allows us to flourish at every level. Through theory and practice, we explore these vital teachings with emphasis on how they can expand the reach of our practice and make it more powerful. Rod will discuss the specific practices that reach each individual kosha and how to apply this knowledge for greater joy, increased capacity, intuition, and freedom.

IMMERSION WORKSHOP
The Yoga of Fulfillment

Friday, September 16, 2011, 10 am — 1 pm and
3 pm —6 pm

Saturday, September 17, 2011, 9 am — noon and
2 pm — 5 pm

Sunday, September 18, 2011, 2011, 9 am — noon

"Yoga’s supreme objective is to awaken an exalted state of spiritual realization, yet the tradition also teaches you how to live and how to shape your life with a commanding sense of purpose, capacity, and meaning. In the end, yoga has less to do with what you can do with your body and more to do with the happiness that unfolds from realizing your full potential."

THE FOUR DESIRES by Rod Stryker

The tradition of yoga is the ultimate science of fulfillment. The Yoga of Fulfillment®, developed by master teacher and guide, Rod Stryker, is a profound and practical course that is nothing less than a complete path toward living your best life possible — a life that is rich spiritually and materially, a life that is your unique gift to yourself and the world. Over the course of this weekend Rod, drawing upon the essential teachings of yoga and tantra, will walk you through the step-by-step process — outlined in his best-selling book, The Four Desires — to achieve the life of your dreams. As you learn to uncover your soul’s call to greatness, you will unlock your capacity to achieve it and discover the meaning and purpose of your life (dharma), the means for fulfilling your ultimate destiny, sankalpa — the science of manifesting intention, and the healing process of Yoga Nidra.

During the workshop, you will also learn to:

  • Understand the role of desire in spiritual life
  • Access intuition, self-awareness, and omniscience
  • Undo the beliefs and tendencies that sabotage fulfillment
  • Transform through deep relaxation and new life-affirming intentions
  • Use all life experiences for greater freedom

The weekend will include daily yoga and meditation practices, along with journaling and self-inquiry exercises, deep relaxation, and visualization.
