Event Description:

THE WORKSHOP:
This workshop is referred to as the "Rainbow Path to Self Transformation." Yoga Asana and the Chakras begins with transformation. Transformation can begin once we realize that there is no separation between the mind, body and spirit. What we feel, perceive and experience, effects us physically and emotionally.

Friday evening will involve a mixed level class open to all levels, exploring sun salutes, standing postures, gentle back-bending, forward bending and restorative poses, featuring sacred music with singer Suzanne Sterling. An introduction into the first three chakras will launch us into an inspirational weekend.

Saturday morning will continue with exploration of the chakras in this dynamic and challenging vinyasa flow class, open to all levels. We will use asana practice to journey through the chakras, understanding their physiological and psychological components. Through movement, breath, visualization, intention and prayer we gain insight into how these vortexes of Electro magnetic energy, when blocked or excessive, can effect our physical health and mental clarity.

Saturday afternoon will involve a guided meditation and creative visualization including devotional singer Suzanne Sterling. A playful approach to asanas, exploring inversions, back-bending, and partner work will take place.

Sunday is offered as our special Mother's day class open only to women in honor of the creative, nurturing mother in all of us. We will gather together to explore and celebrate what it means to be a balanced female in today’s world, reclaiming the power of our intuition, ability to nurture and create. This dynamic vinyasa flow class, open to all levels, will use strong asana, meditation, visualization, and reflection to facilitate an inner spiritual and outer physical journey — opening us to greater self confidence, self awareness and appreciation for ourselves.
