It was only when I was expelled from the Citadel military college two weeks from graduation and just beginning to shed a pesky coke habit that my life and outlook began to make a sizable shift. This shift came about more or less accidentally and began in a group yoga class.

My true passion is yoga and fitness. I believe that fitness is a way of life and should be a routine just as waking up in the morning. I've learned that keeping your mind and body in sync is most important to having good health. My dream to help others continues to be a reality. My experience in Yoga and Personal training allows me to encourage people to take those steps necessary to lead a long and healthy life.Yoga has changed my life in so many ways. It has taught me to be healthier, happier, and take care of myself and others. I’m a giver and I LOVE my students.

As a songwriter, Jamie’s musical journey began as a small child singing and writing songs with her two older brothers. In her early teens she was introduced to many sacred texts, including the Bhagavad Gita. This new found, old felt passion, sparked a fire in her heart and left her with a deep knowing that Yoga was the next step on her path. While the thought of Yoga seems light and lofty, Jamie soon found that dedication to the practice had cracked her wide open! So she dove into the wounds, peeled back the layers and shortly after took her first Yoga teacher training.

He received his 500hr Yoga Teaching Cert in 2005 through Namaste’ Int'l and in 2006 a friend invited him to attend a Vedic Thai workshop with Mukti Michael Buck. I spent many years searching for a fitness routine that would keep me motivated to exercise on a regular basis: aerobics, running, walking; nothing held my interest for more than a couple of months. Boredom would set in and I would give up. All of that changed when I stepped into my first yoga class in 2006. The simple desire to incorporate fitness into my life evolved into something much bigger than I ever imagined. My yoga practice helps me stay physically fit, while keeping me grounded and balanced off the mat as well.

I began my journey after many years of swimming, working out at the gym, and running, which was taking it's toll on my body.  I began a daily practice and found ny body and mind free, at ease, and connected. I soon felt deeply in my heart that I wanted to teach and found my yoga home and completed teacher training at Blue Anjou, where I am now the director and owner of the studio and Blue Anjou Teacher Training Programs.  I am passionate about teaching and love to share with my students a vibrant and uplifting experience that is also nurturing, warm, and compassionate.
